A obter dados

Existem três formas de obter dados armazenados no Firestore. Qualquer um destes métodos pode ser usado com documentos, coleções de documentos ou os resultados de consultas:

  • Chamar um método para obter os dados uma vez.
  • Defina um ouvinte para receber eventos de alteração de dados.
  • Carregue em massa dados de instantâneos do Firestore a partir de uma origem externa através de pacotes de dados. Consulte o documento de pacotes para ver mais detalhes.

Quando define um ouvinte, o Firestore envia-lhe um instantâneo inicial dos dados e, em seguida, outro instantâneo sempre que o documento é alterado.

Para plataformas com suporte offline, pode definir a opção source para controlar como uma chamada get usa a cache offline.

Por predefinição, uma chamada get tenta obter a captura instantânea do documento mais recente da sua base de dados. Em plataformas com suporte offline, a biblioteca de cliente usa a cache offline se a rede não estiver disponível ou se o pedido exceder o tempo limite.

Obtenha vários documentos de um grupo de coleções

Um grupo de coleções consiste em todas as coleções com o mesmo ID. Por exemplo, se cada documento na sua coleção cities tiver uma subcoleção denominada landmarks, todas as subcoleções landmarks pertencem ao mesmo grupo de coleções. Por predefinição, as consultas obtêm resultados de uma única coleção na sua base de dados. Use uma consulta de grupo de coleções para obter resultados de um grupo de coleções em vez de uma única coleção.

Liste as subcoleções de um documento

O método listCollections() das bibliotecas de cliente do servidor do Firestore apresenta todas as subcoleções de uma referência de documento.

Não é possível obter uma lista de coleções com as bibliotecas de cliente para dispositivos móveis/Web. Só deve procurar nomes de coleções como parte de tarefas administrativas em ambientes de servidor fidedignos. Se considerar que precisa desta capacidade nas bibliotecas de cliente Web/para dispositivos móveis, pondere reestruturar os seus dados para que os nomes das subcoleções sejam previsíveis.
