The Agents for Impact Hackathon is an exclusive, one-day sprint designed for ambitious builders. You will join curated teams to tackle pressing global challenges—like food equity, public health or emergency evacuation—using Google’s latest agentic AI and data tools. You’ll build and deploy solutions that make a real-world difference.

What you can expect: 

• Dive into Google’s latest agentic AI and data tools: Dive straight into 4+ hours of hands-on hacking with Google’s newest agentic developer stack—including Antigravity, ADK, Gemini models and BigQuery. You’ll be assisted by Google subject-matter experts, empowering you to work quickly and effectively.
• Tackle real-world problems: Move beyond abstract examples. Work with vast, open datasets to build a proof-of-concept aimed at solving real challenges.
• Build your portfolio: Create a meaningful project that not only demonstrates your commitment to positive change but serves as a showcase of your AI and data skills. You’ll be awarded a Credly badge at the end of the event, so you can showcase your achievements to your network.
• Connect with a purpose-driven network: Collaborate with your peers and Google experts as everyone works toward a single goal: building a better future. 
• Competitive edge: One winning team will advance to the Phase II AI Arena where their solution will be presented to a live digital audience of 5,000+ peers, who will vote to send one team to present on stage at Google Cloud Next '27!

Attendees should feel comfortable:

• Writing code in at least one programming language.
• Working in a terminal – running commands and moving around a filesystem.
• Basic Git – clone, commit, push.
• Reading SQL and Python well enough to follow along, even if you don’t write them daily.

Please note: 

• Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own personal laptops since corporate-issued devices may not allow access to all available tools. 
• If you are a part of the finalist team, which will be determined by the morning of December 9, you will need to be available on December 10 for a 3-hour block to record a pitch of your solution.
