Zinergia modernized its fleet operations with Google Cloud, lowering expenses and improving delivery speed.
For more than 50 years, Zinergia has played a central role in Mexico’s logistics sector, growing from a single truck into a fleet of nearly 1,000 owned units and an allied network of more than 6,600. But despite its scale, the company’s technology foundation was holding it back.
On-premise servers were unstable, with availability issues, security risks, and limited scalability. Route optimization relied on internally built algorithms, and the infrastructure lacked the flexibility to adapt to demand. These issues created ripple effects across the business, from inefficient planning to missed opportunities.
“The platform where the servers were wasn’t stable. There were availability issues, security risks, and very basic support,” explains José Luis Martínez Aparicio, deputy subdirector of digital transformation at Zinergia.
“We didn’t have adequate consoles to monitor performance, and we were very dependent on the provider.”
The challenges went beyond infrastructure. Because the systems were unreliable, the business struggled with slow query times, poor delivery planning, and visibility gaps that directly affected customer satisfaction.
“We didn’t have access to the system at certain times, and that caused long delivery times. Not having information available created human error, poor use of resources, and visibility problems,” adds Aparicio. “Above all, we couldn’t manage unforeseen events like traffic. With Google Maps Platform we can now anticipate those issues.”
To overcome these limitations, Zinergia looked for a provider that could deliver modern infrastructure, advanced analytics, and mapping capabilities within a true partnership model. After experiencing Google Cloud’s innovation at Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas and evaluating the comprehensive ecosystem it offered, the company chose Google Cloud as the foundation for its transformation. Local partner Nubosoft further strengthened the decision with technical expertise and personalized support, giving Zinergia the confidence that its selection was the right one for long-term growth.
We had problems with the speed of responses. Queries could take too long, and that delayed planning. There were outages that lasted hours. In logistics, every minute counts, and that affected us directly. Before, we were limited in scalability. If demand increased, the infrastructure couldn’t keep up.

To overcome the limitations of its legacy systems, Zinergia modernized operations with a broad set of Google Cloud technologies. Core logistics applications are now hosted on Google Compute Engine and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), providing flexible infrastructure that adapts to fluctuating fleet demands. Cloud Storage secures and centralizes key documents with life cycle policies for cost efficiency, while BigQuery delivers predictive analytics for optimizing routes, fuel use, and maintenance planning.
On the ground, dispatchers and drivers are benefiting directly from Google Maps Platform. Using the Routes API, teams calculate the most efficient multi-stop delivery paths based on real-time traffic and delivery windows. The Maps JavaScript API lets managers track vehicles in real time and reroute them when unexpected events occur, while the Places API validates addresses and ensures deliveries reach the right destination.
“With Google Maps we can now anticipate unforeseen events like traffic,” says Aparicio. “Visualizing the data on maps helps us interpret information and plan routes more effectively.”
At the same time, Google Workspace has unified communication across Zinergia’s 2,300 employees. Teams use Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Meet, and Chat to coordinate operations, manage schedules, and collaborate seamlessly on documents. This shift has simplified remote work, reduced time lost to email instability, and ensured information is securely backed up in the cloud.
“Today we all manage ourselves with Workspace agendas, and that makes coordination between everyone much easier,” adds Aparicio. “Real-time collaboration on documents has optimized people’s time and strengthened security.”
Together, these solutions have transformed how Zinergia plans, executes, and monitors its logistics operations, creating a more agile and reliable model for both the company and its customers.
Nubosoft’s support was key and will continue to be key. They advised us at all times, answered our questions, and have high technical capacity to meet our needs. There’s always been a personalized approach. They make us feel like they’re really on our side.

Zinergia’s transition to Google Cloud has already delivered strong business outcomes. These improvements are visible across daily operations. Employees no longer struggle with unstable systems or limited visibility, and customers benefit with more consistent service. “For the same price, we obtained more benefits with greater availability, speed, and security,” notes Aparicio. The company has been able to optimize existing capacity, building what Aparicio describes as “a more productive logistics model” that directly enhances customer experience.
Looking forward, Zinergia is pushing the boundaries of logistics innovation. The company is preparing to deploy its own AI models to optimize forecasting, costs, and maintenance, while piloting image recognition tools to detect license plates and assess vehicle damage. “We’re creating a navigation system for trucks, and with the implementation of Google Maps, it has helped us advance more quickly and consolidate it because we’re in the testing phase of this tool,” says Aparicio.
We are going to implement image recognition, for example, to identify license plates or recognize vehicle damage when units arrive at yards.
