SLB™ collaborated with Google Cloud to deliver cutting-edge cloud computing solutions for the energy sector. To establish itself as a digital product provider with its Delfi™ digital platform, SLB™ created a software life cycle management (SLM) team dedicated to transforming the governance, practices, and tools of its DevOps work management. By leveraging DORA assessments, the SLB™ team identified capability gaps and conducted workshops to formulate hypotheses and execute numerous experiments aimed at enhancing their technical capabilities. This strategic approach led to significant improvements in SLB™’s software delivery and operational performance.
Why Google Cloud?
SLB™ partnered with Google Cloud to provide high-performance cloud computing for the energy industry. The company decided to adopt DORA because its concepts fit its ambition to boost software delivery and operational performance for all commercial cloud-hosted products. Since the initial implementation, SLB™ has collaborated with the Google DORA Team to conduct multiple rounds of assessments and to continuously enhance its practices.
DORA Day at SLB™ was an outstanding opportunity for our software teams to share their practice experiments with colleagues across the company. More than 60 submissions each demonstrated DORA capabilities and the best experiments were showcased. These were fantastic events, and we are excited to host it again this year.
