To solve this, Shoppers Stop migrated to Google Cloud. Partnering with PwC, the retailer deployed Google Security Operations (SecOps) to unify threat feeds across endpoints, networks, and servers into a single pane of glass. To leverage customer data effectively, Shoppers Stop adopted BigQuery as an enterprise data warehouse. This infrastructure enables teams to run compute-heavy machine learning algorithms and generate personalized campaigns overnight.

Managed 24/7 by PwC, a five-member security team now monitors thousands of enterprise assets, achieving payment card industry data security standard (PCI DSS) compliance and a 3.6 NIST score—the highest in Indian retail.
In physical stores, a personal shopper app uses AI to summarize decades of purchase history into actionable context for store associates. Looking forward, Shoppers Stop aims to harness continuous AI innovation with Google Cloud to outpace AI-enabled threat actors and refine customer personalization.
