Unifying fragmented silos into a golden profile
Traditionally, hospital data is fragmented across non-agile information systems. To achieve connected healthcare, Manipal Hospitals worked with Deloitte to build a Customer Data Platform (CDP) on Google Cloud.
Transferring real-time data to the Google Cloud layer built a unified “golden profile” for every patient. This centralized architecture links interactions from the call center, website, Facebook, and hospital visits. Manipal turns this raw data into actionable insights using Looker dashboards, giving call center staff real-time analysis for lead conversions. This unified data ecosystem enables an intelligent lead nurture program and continuous health tracking.

By analyzing the golden profiles, algorithms can proactively predict medical events—such as anticipating a cardiovascular episode from elevated LDL levels—transforming the hospital's approach from reactive treatments to proactive, preventative healthcare that vastly improves patient outcomes.
The unified data also opened up other opportunities for Manipal Hospitals, such as the e-pharmacy service. After patients initially buy prescription medicines from the hospital pharmacy, they turn to locations closer to home for subsequent needs. With the unified customer view, Manipal Hospitals was able to provide at-home delivery of prescription medicines, a service that has seen 10x growth in revenue.
