with Google Cloud

Emccamp Residencial is a Brazilian real estate and construction company with 49 years of history, building homes across a full range of income levels, from affordable first-home developments to high-end properties. With dozens of active developments at any given time and a growing ambition to scale the business without proportionally growing its headcount, the company's ability to produce marketing content efficiently is directly tied to its ability to compete.

That need was most visible in marketing. Every image, video, and promotional piece required a chain of external suppliers: architects, 3D rendering specialists, voiceover studios, and developers.

Tight deadlines collided with slow processes. "The briefing would arrive today and the campaign had to go live by the weekend," says Cassiano Freitas, marketing coordinator at Emccamp. "We needed agility the traditional process simply could not deliver."

Internally, teams were spending significant time searching for information scattered across systems, slowing down decisions and day-to-day operations. Both problems pointed to the same need: a platform that could fundamentally change how the company worked, not just automate a single task.

Emccamp had already been using Google Cloud when a new wave of AI capabilities emerged. What stood out was not a single tool, but the maturity of the platform and the pace at which it was evolving.

We had been researching for months, looking at what companies in China and Europe were doing differently. When we came back to Google Cloud and saw the new Vertex, everything we had been looking for was already there.

"The construction industry is slow to adopt technology," says Allan Fernandes, head of data and IT at Emccamp. "We knew that if we were going to change that here, we needed a platform that was ahead of the market, not catching up to it. Google Cloud was that platform."

Partner Cloud Ace handled the technical implementation, connecting Google Cloud's tools to Emccamp's existing environment.

With Google Cloud in place, Emccamp built two solutions that work in parallel: one facing outward toward customers, and one facing inward toward the team.

For marketing, the company uses a suite of Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (formerly known as Vertex AI) working together: Imagen for image generation, Veo for video creation, and the Text-to-Speech API for voiceover narration. What used to require weeks of back and forth with external suppliers now happens in a single session.

A marketing team member starts with a raw architectural image, uses Imagen to adjust the angle, lighting, or setting, brings it to life with Veo, and adds a localized voiceover with Text-to-Speech, choosing the right regional accent for each market.

"We have a copywriter generating images, a designer editing video, a video editor creating image variations," says Freitas. "People are doing things they never imagined they could do." The volume of creative output grew so fast that the team started hitting the maximum number of simultaneous ads allowed on Meta.

We bring our team together, have content to produce, and it comes out right there as we are building it. With an incredible level of personalization that I can only achieve with Google's tools.

A landing page that would cost R$8,000 from an external supplier and take three weeks was built internally in four hours for R$50, a 96% cost reduction. Non-technical team members are now building and deploying their own tools, work that previously required an external developer.

For internal operations, Gemini Enterprise connects directly to Emccamp's internal knowledge system through a native connector, giving every team instant access to the right information without manually searching through documents.

An agentic workflow built on Gemini Enterprise to automate land acquisition research, a process that previously took one person three to five weeks, now runs in minutes with a 33% efficiency gain.

"Good prompts bring good answers," says Fernandes. "You amplify people's intellectual capacity with that. We have professionals who today do their work better and can absorb other work on top of that.”

Taking AI from marketing to construction
with people at the center

For Emccamp, the marketing transformation was the first step in a much larger shift. The company currently has 80 active projects incorporating AI in some form, from construction site monitoring to quality control cameras that identify defects as buildings go up.

The impact on how the company competes is already measurable. Estimated marketing production cost savings from the GenMedia implementation alone reach between R$170,000 and R$200,000. And a process that previously required 140 days to move from land acquisition through regulatory approval is being redesigned to run in 22, a reduction that would allow Emccamp to break ground months earlier on every new development.

That growth comes with a clear philosophy: Emccamp isn’t using AI to reduce its workforce. The goal is to grow the business without growing the headcount, giving people tools that expand what they can do. "Nobody here is convinced that AI replaces people," says Fernandes.

“It’s not the discourse you’ll hear here,” he adds. “It’s very much in the sense of AI helping our productivity, how we can work more and better, in a healthier environment too, because it makes us gain time, which is invaluable."

For Fernandes, the stakes go beyond operational efficiency. Emccamp's core mission is delivering the first home to families who have saved for decades to afford it.

"When we think about technology, we always come back to the same place," he says. "The client puts on their best clothes, brings their family, and shows up to receive the keys. That is who we are building for. If the technology helps us deliver a better product to that person, we are in."

We want to double our size without doubling our team. With Google Cloud, every process that used to require another person is now something our current team can handle.
