ロケーションを選択する

Cross-Cloud Interconnect を使用する場合、Google が Google Cloud ネットワークとアマゾン ウェブ サービス（AWS）ネットワークの間の物理的な接続をプロビジョニングします。

Google がこれらの接続を確立する前に、Google と AWS の両方のポートを注文する必要があります。このプロセスの準備として、 Google Cloud のロケーションと、接続に使用する AWS のロケーションを特定します。

ロケーション選択のベスト プラクティス

接続場所を決める際には、次の点を考慮してください。

• 使用する大半の Google Cloud リソースはどこにあるのか。
• 使用する大半の AWS リソースはどこにあるのか。

両方のクラウドのリソースが同じ場所にある場合、選択は簡単です。そうでない場合は、接続をGoogle Cloud リソースと AWS リソースのどちらに近づけるかを検討します。接続が AWS リソースに近い場合、トラフィックは Google ネットワーク上を移動するためにより多くの時間を費やします（一般的には、こちらが選択されます）。ただし、両方のクラウドで発生する可能性が高いアウトバウンド データ転送の費用も考慮する必要があります。

ロケーションの影響を受ける要素

このセクションでは、選択したロケーションの影響を受ける要素について説明します。

VLAN アタッチメント

Cross-Cloud Interconnect 接続が確立されたら、 Google Cloudで VLAN アタッチメントを構成する必要があります。VLAN アタッチメントは、リモート クラウド ネットワークと Virtual Private Cloud ネットワーク内の単一リージョン間の論理接続です。

ポートのロケーションを選択すると、VLAN アタッチメントを配置できるリージョンの数が制限されます。このため、サポートされているロケーションの表には、各ポートのロケーションで提供されるGoogle Cloud リージョンの列が含まれています。

注: Google Cloudでは、VLAN アタッチメントのロケーションで、AWS ルートを受信する Google Cloud リージョンを制限する必要はありません。AWS のルートをすべての Google Cloud リージョンにアドバタイズするには、グローバル動的ルーティングを構成します。

エッジ アベイラビリティ ドメイン

各大都市圏に 2 つの Google Cloud エッジ アベイラビリティ ドメインがあります。メンテナンスによって同じ大都市圏の 2 つのドメインが同時に停止することはありません。このため、プライマリ ポートと冗長ポートのロケーションを選択するときに、各ポートが同じ大都市圏の異なるエッジ アベイラビリティ ドメインを使用するように選択する必要があります。これは、ポートの順序に関係なく該当します。Google Cloud CLI を使用する場合は、各エッジ アベイラビリティ ドメインを明示的に指定する必要があります。 Google Cloud コンソールを使用する場合は、ロケーションを選択するだけで、 Google Cloud が各ドメインのポートを予約します。

gcloud CLI の場合、ロケーション名の 2 番目の情報がエッジ アベイラビリティ ドメインです。たとえば、ロケーション名が iad-zone1-1 の場合、エッジ アベイラビリティ ドメインは zone1 です。ロケーション名が iad-zone2-1 の場合、エッジ アベイラビリティ ゾーンは zone2 です。

コロケーション施設

Google は通常、単一のコロケーション施設内で各接続をプロビジョニングします。ただし、隣接する施設が同じ事業者によって運営されている場合は、その施設間で接続が作成されることがあります。いずれの場合でも、施設名を知っている必要はありません。このため、サポートされているロケーションの表には特定の施設名が含まれていません。

サポートされているロケーションのリスト

次の表に、AWS でサポートされているロケーションと、対応するGoogle Cloud のロケーションを示します。

Cross-Cloud Interconnect ポートの Google Cloud のロケーションを指定する必要があります。また、他のクラウド プロバイダのポートを接続する場所も指定する必要があります。このドキュメント セットと Google Cloudでは、後者の AWS ロケーションをリモート ロケーションと呼んでいます。Cross-Cloud Interconnect を注文する際は、必ずリモート ロケーション名を使用してください。リモート クラウド プロバイダによってロケーション名が若干異なりますが、そのクラウド プロバイダのポートを注文する際に使用した名前を使用します。

ロケーション名によって構文の違いがあります。次に例を示します。

• リモート ロケーションの名前は、AWS と Google Cloudのどちらを使用するかによって異なります。
• Google Cloudの場合、 Google Cloud コンソールでロケーション名の横にリモート ロケーションの説明が表示されます。この説明は、正しいロケーションの選択に役立ちます。
• Google Cloudの場合、 Google Cloud コンソールの Cloud Interconnect のロケーション（リモート ロケーションではない）は実際の Cloud Interconnect のロケーション名ではなく、施設の情報が表示されます。

可用性を確認する

使用するロケーションを特定したら、利用可能な 10 Gbps または 100 Gbps の Direct Connect ポートがあることを再度確認します。ポートの可用性は予告なく変更されることがあるため、この手順は役に立ちます。

AWS コンソールで作業している場合は、接続の注文中に可用性を確認できます。事前に可用性を確認するには、AWS CLI を使用します。

AWS CLI

describe-locations コマンドを使用して、AWS ロケーションで利用可能な接続に関する情報を取得します。次に例を示します。

ロケーションとリージョンに関する注意事項

前のセクションを確認したら、次の値をメモします。

• リモート ロケーション（ Google Cloudでの名前）と Google Cloud のロケーション。これらの値は、Cross-Cloud Interconnect 接続を注文する際に必要になります。
• リモート ロケーション（AWS での名前）と、接続リソースを配置するリージョン。これらの値は、AWS ポートを注文して AWS リソースを構成する際に必要になります。
• VLAN アタッチメントを配置する Google Cloud リージョン。この値は、アタッチメントを作成するときに必要になります（ Google Cloud リソースを構成するを参照）。
