Creates a device in a device registry.

HTTP request

POST https://cloudiot.googleapis.com/v1/{parent=projects/*/locations/*/registries/*}/devices

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
parent	string The name of the device registry where this device should be created. For example, projects/example-project/locations/us-central1/registries/my-registry. Authorization requires the following Google IAM permission on the specified resource parent: cloudiot.devices.create

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Device.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Device.

Authorization Scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloudiot
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
