La función de llamada a funciones permite que un modelo identifique cuándo debe invocar una herramienta o una API externas y, a continuación, genere datos estructurados que contengan la función y los argumentos necesarios para la ejecución. Todos los modelos abiertos disponibles en Vertex AI Model as a Service (MaaS) admiten la función de llamada.

Usar la llamada de funciones
En el siguiente caso práctico se integra una API meteorológica externa para consultar el tiempo actual de una ubicación determinada. El código usa una llamada REST para comparar el tiempo de dos ciudades mediante una función get_current_weather que se declara en el esquema de tools.
