This document contains current API restrictions and usage quotas on use of the Translation API. This page will be updated to reflect any changes to these restrictions and usage quotas.
Content to the Translation API is provided as text strings, and both pricing and usage are based on character counts. All characters sent to the Translation API, including whitespace characters, count towards these quotas.

Attempting to process content in excess of the Text Content quota will produce an error. If you need to translate content in excess of these quotas, please fill out a Google Cloud Translation API Quota Increase Request form.
The current API usage quotas for the Cloud Translation API are as follows (and are subject to change):

These quotas apply to each Cloud Translation API developer project and each user, and are shared across all applications and IP addresses using a given a developer project.
