En este documento, se proporciona una descripción general del proceso de final del ciclo de la asistencia (EOS) para los sistemas operativos Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) que se ejecutan en Google Cloud.
Versiones de EOS
RHEL 7: EOS el 30 de junio de 2024.
RHEL 6: EOL el 30 de noviembre de 2020.
Cómo afectará este EOS a mis instancias de máquinas virtuales (VM) existentes
Las VMs actuales que ejecutan las versiones de EOS no se ven afectadas. Después de la fecha del EOS, puedes iniciar o detener las VMs existentes que usan estas imágenes.
Sin embargo, tus proyectos podrían estar en riesgo, porque ejecutas una versión de RHEL que ya no recibe actualizaciones de seguridad.
¿Qué debo saber?
Después de esta fecha, se aplican los siguientes cambios:
Las versiones de EOL de RHEL aún están disponibles, pero están marcadas como obsoletas.
Para las VM de RHEL PAYG existentes que usan una versión de EOS, la asistencia técnica limitada está disponible a través de Google Cloud.
Si necesitas crear VMs que usen alguna de estas versiones de EOS después de la fecha del EOS, haz copias de las imágenes disponibles en tus proyectos.
Planifica las cargas de trabajo y aplicaciones, y mígralas a RHEL 8. O bien, si deseas
seguir usando las versiones de EOS de RHEL, consulta Anexa licencias de ELS de RHEL.
