Las PPAs del sistema de acceso al espectro (SAS) se generan automáticamente para cada dispositivo de servicio de radio de banda ancha de ciudadanos (CBSD) apto para PAL que solicite una concesión en los canales PAL de un operador. El tamaño y la forma de un PPA se determinan de la siguiente manera:
La ubicación del CBSD.
La capacidad de potencia isotrópica radiada efectiva (PIRE) de la CBSD
especificada en la solicitud de registro, hasta el límite certificado por la FCC.
La altura, la ganancia, el azimut y la anchura del haz de la antena del CBSD.
Un modelo de propagación estándar definido por WInnForum que utilizan todos los SASs.
Para minimizar las interferencias en la PPA, es posible que las CBSDs situadas fuera de la PPA, pero cerca de ella, tengan que reducir la potencia en el canal PAL. Las CBSDs nuevas que despliegue otro operador en el PPA no podrán solicitar concesiones para el canal PAL. Consulta cómo encontrar un PPA en el portal de SAS.
El SAS puede crear una o varias PPAs en un condado para el mismo canal PAL en función de las zonas de servicio de uno o varios CBSDs protegidos por PAL. Las zonas de servicio postal son dinámicas porque pueden crecer, fusionarse, dividirse y reducirse en función del tamaño de las zonas de servicio. El SAS combina los PPAs que se solapan en un único PPA cuando estos se encuentran en el mismo canal y en el mismo condado. Las PPAs se actualizan a diario durante las actividades periódicas coordinadas entre SASs (CPAS).
Configurar un PPA para tu CBSD
Puedes configurar un PPA para tu CBSD antes, durante y después de la CPAS.
Antes de usar CPAS
Solicita una subvención en tus canales PAL dos horas antes de la CPAS. De esta forma, se asegura de que el SAS cree un PPA durante el CPAS. La protección frente a los CBSDs que tienen concesiones de GAA empieza después.
Si tu canal PAL no tiene una puntuación de calidad alta y tu equipo admite varias concesiones, usa otra concesión para transmitir hasta que tu concesión PAL complete correctamente la CPAS. De esta forma, se minimizan los riesgos y el impacto de las interferencias antes de que empiece la protección PAL.
Durante la CPAS
Recomendamos que tu CBSD siga enviando señales de mantenimiento a tu concesión de PAL. Las nuevas APPs tardan un tiempo en protegerse. Otros CBSDs de operadores dentro del PPA pueden usar el canal PAL hasta que se complete el CPAS, por lo que tu canal PAL puede sufrir interferencias.
Después de CPAS
La protección de la PPA comienza una vez que se ha completado la CPAS. El SAS
finaliza todas las concesiones en el canal PAL para los CBSDs de otros operadores
ubicados en el PPA.
El CBSD envía señales de latido para recibir autorización para transmitir.
Tu CBSD está protegido frente a las interferencias de otros CBSDs en el canal PAL.
Si experimentas interferencias en tu canal PAL después de crear el PPA, ponte en contacto con el equipo de Asistencia de SAS.
Mantener un PPA para un CBSD protegido por PAL
Para mantener un PPA de un CBSD protegido por un PAL, sigue estos pasos:
Sigue enviando señales de actividad en la concesión de PAL. Si el CBSD no recibe una señal de mantenimiento en una concesión de PAL durante siete días, se elimina el PPA del CBSD.
Para volver a establecer un PPA, no vuelvas a registrar el CBSD. No recomendamos volver a registrarse, ya que se perderán todas las demás concesiones de la CBSD y es posible que no estén disponibles inmediatamente después de volver a registrarse.

PPAs are dynamic because they can grow, merge, split, and\nshrink based on the size of the service areas. The SAS merges\nPPAs that overlap into a single PPA when those PPAs are on the same channel and\nin the same county. PPAs are updated daily during\n[Coordinated Periodic Activities among SASs (CPAS)](/spectrum-access-system/docs/key-terms#cpas).\n\nSet up a PPA for your CBSD\n--------------------------\n\nYou can set up a PPA for your CBSD before, during, and after\nCPAS.\n\n**Before CPAS**\n\n- Request a grant on your PAL channels two hours before CPAS. This is to ensure that SAS creates a PPA during CPAS. Protection from CBSDs that have GAA grants begins afterwards.\n- If your PAL channel [doesn't have a high quality score](/spectrum-access-system/docs/cbsd/channels#channel-quality), and your equipment supports multiple grants, use a different grant to transmit until your PAL grant successfully finishes CPAS. This minimizes the risk and impact of interference before PAL protection begins.\n\n**During CPAS**\n\nWe recommend that your CBSD keeps heartbeating on your PAL\ngrant. New PPAs take time to get protected. Other operators'\nCBSDs within the PPA might use the PAL channel until CPAS has\ncompleted, so your PAL channel might experience interference.\n\n**After CPAS**\n\n- The PPA protection begins after CPAS is completed. SAS\n terminates all grants on the PAL channel for other operators'\n CBSDs located within the PPA.\n\n- The CBSD sends heartbeats to receive authorization to transmit.\n Your CBSD is protected from interference from other\n CBSDs on the PAL channel.\n\n- If you experience interference on your PAL channel after the PPA is created,\n contact [SAS Support](/spectrum-access-system/docs/getting-support).\n\nMaintain a PPA for a PAL-protected CBSD\n---------------------------------------\n\nTo maintain a PPA for a PAL-protected CBSD, follow these steps:\n\n1. Continue heartbeating on the PAL grant. If the CBSD does not\n receive a heartbeat on a PAL grant for seven days, the CBSD's\n PPA is removed.\n\n | **Note:** If you use multiple PAL grants and miss heartbeats on one PAL grant, only the PPA associated with that grant is removed. If the CBSD continues to heartbeat on the remaining PAL grants, then the PPAs for the remaining grants are still enforced.\n2. If a PPA is removed from a PAL-protected CBSD,\n [re-establish a PPA](#re-establish-ppa).\n\n| **Tip:** If you relinquish a PAL grant and request a new one within the same day, it does not affect the PPA.\n\nRe-establish a dropped PPA\n--------------------------\n\nTo re-establish a PPA, do not re-register the CBSD. We strongly\ndiscourage re-registration because all of the CBSD's other\ngrants are relinquished and might not be available immediately after\nre-registration.\n\nTo re-establish a dropped PPA, do the following:\n\n1.
