The legacy installation scripts, stack-install.sh and
install-monitoring-agent.sh, are deprecated and are scheduled to be
decommissioned.
stack-install.shis not supported and cannot be used to install any version of the Cloud Monitoring agent.install-monitoring-agent.shis still available but can be used to install only the 5.x version of the agent.
Users are encouraged to migrate to the new installation script as soon as possible. For more information, refer to Installing the Cloud Monitoring agent.
After migrating to the new script, you can temporarily pin to agent version 5.x.x to gauge the impact of the breaking changes in version 6.0.0 and later.
