Drilling in the mobile application

Note: Drilling in the Looker mobile application is available only on iOS devices. Also, the Looker Studio mobile application does not support drilling on Looker visualizations.

If mobile application access is enabled for your instance and you have installed the app on your iOS device, you can sign in to your Looker account and interact with your data in the app. The Looker mobile app lets you drill into data to gain deeper insights.

Drilling into data

In the Looker web application, clicking on any data point in a visualization will drill down, which creates another query that is refined by the data point that you clicked. To drill into the mobile application, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to a piece of content.
2. Tap on any data point that you are interested in.
3. Tap More Actions to open the drill window.

Drilling is currently not supported on histogram or donut type visualizations.

The drill window

The drill window contains the following elements:

1. Close window button: Closes the drill window and returns to the visualization
2. Data point value: Displays the value of the selected data point
3. Explore: Displays the row-level data that comprises the metric of the selected data point
4. Drill options: Displays additional drill queries based on the data type of the selected data point
