オペレーティング システムの詳細
GKE on Azure は、Azure 仮想マシン インスタンスと、これらのインスタンスで実行されているオペレーティング システムを管理します。Kubernetes バージョン 1.26 以降では、GKE on Azure は Linux ノードに Ubuntu 22.04 LTS ベースイメージを使用します。Kubernetes バージョン 1.25 以前では、GKE on Azure は Ubuntu 20.04 LTS を使用します。
ベースの Azure VM は Canonical は、Canonical が維持します。Google は、GKE on Azure リリース プロセスの一環としてこれらのイメージをテストします。クラスタまたはノードプールをアップグレードすると、基盤となる仮想マシン インスタンスは終了され、最新の OS バージョンで再作成されます。
インスタンスを起動すると、GKE on Azure は、追加の構成を行います。それには、次の構成が含まれます。

In Kubernetes versions 1.26 and\nhigher, GKE on Azure uses Ubuntu 22.04 LTS base images for Linux\nnodes. In Kubernetes versions 1.25 and lower, GKE on Azure uses\nUbuntu 20.04 LTS.\n\nThe base Azure VM is maintained by Canonical. Google tests these images as part\nof the GKE on Azure release process.
