The CBSD uses registration requests to\nsend all the required information.\n\nSome CBSDs don't support single-step registration and must be registered\nby using multistep registration. For registration\ninstructions specific to your CBSD, see your CBSD vendor\ndocumentation.\n\nBefore you begin\n----------------\n\nYou can register only Federal Communications Commission (FCC)-approved CBSDs in\ncompliance with FCC Part 96 with SAS. Most\nCBSDs require a CPI to verify the CBSD's\ninstallation. For information about CBSD categories, see\n[Register a CBSD that needs CPI validation](/spectrum-access-system/docs/cbsd/overview#register-cbsd).\n\nRegister your CBSD\n------------------\n\nBefore a CBSD can transmit, it needs to register with\nSAS. For more information, see\n[Send a registration request to SAS](/spectrum-access-system/docs/portal#sending-cbsd-registration).\n\nIf your registration request is successful, SAS responds with\na CBSD ID. The CBSD is then registered.\nIf your registration request is rejected, SAS responds with\nan error message. The CBSD needs to correct the error and send\nanother registration request. For more information, see\n[Register a CBSD that needs CPI validation](/spectrum-access-system/docs/portal#register-cbsd).\n\nTo register your CBSD, follow these steps:\n\n1. In the CBSDs list or CBSD details, click **CBSD Actions** , and then click **Register**.\n2. Check if your CBSD registered successfully.\n3. Make sure that your CBSD appears in the CBSD list.\n\n| **Important:** If you select **Grant** , it performs the **Register** action. If that succeeds, then it performs the **Grant** action.\n\nDeregister your CBSD\n--------------------\n\nIf a CBSD needs to be decommissioned or moved, the CBSD should first\nsend a deregistration request to SAS. This indicates that the\nCBSD no longer wants to be listed in SAS with\nthe parameters that it originally had. Contact your device vendor for\ndocumentation or instructions to deregister your CBSD. If a\nCBSD needs to transmit again, the CBSD can send a\nregistration request with updated parameters.\n\nThe Google SAS Portal gives you a way to deregister your\nCBSD in the situation that a CBSD is no longer\nable to send a deregistration request. You can deregister a device by using the\nSAS Portal device panel or\ntable_chart **Table view**.\n\nTo deregister the device by using the SAS Portal device panel, follow\nthese steps:\n\n1. Go to the [SAS Portal](https://wirelessconnectivity.google.com/sas).\n2. Select the CBSD from the **Deployments** list.\n3. Select table_chart **Table view** or map **Map view** , and then click **Device panel**.\n4. On the right, click settings_input_antenna **Device** , and then click **Deregister CBSD**.\n\nTo deregister the device by using table_chart **Table view**,\nfollow these steps:\n\n1. Go to the [SAS Portal](https://wirelessconnectivity.google.com/sas).\n2. Select the CBSD from the **Deployments** list.\n3. Click table_chart **Table view**.\n4. Right-click the row of the CBSD that you want to deregister.\n5. Select **Deregister CBSD**.\n\nRe-register your CBSD\n---------------------\n\nIf you are a CPI, you can update the SAS configuration by creating an\ninactive configuration. You need to sign the inactive configuration and instruct\nthe CBSD to send a new registration request to\nSAS. The CBSD loses all current grants.\n\nTo re-register a CBSD, follow these steps:\n\n1. Go to the [SAS Portal](https://wirelessconnectivity.google.com/sas).\n2. Click **View deployments**.\n3. Optional: If you have access to multiple deployments, select a deployment from the **Deployments** list, and then click **Open**.\n4. On the left, click settings **Settings**.\n5. To select the CBSD, do the following:\n - In map **Map view**, click the CBSD location marker.\n - In table_chart **Table view**, click the row of the CBSD.\n6. Click **Edit**.\n7. Update and review the CBSD configuration, and then do the following:\n - If you are an Editor, click **Ready for CPI**.\n - If you are a CPI, click **Sign**.\n\nAfter re-registering, the inactive configuration status changes to\n**Pending registration** . However, if the CBSD was already registered,\nthe CBSD status doesn't change while the SAS is\nstill using the previous (active) configuration. You can find the changed\nconfiguration in the **Pending changes** section.\n\nWhen the CBSD re-registers with SAS, the inactive\nconfiguration becomes the active configuration. The **Pending changes** section\ndisappears, and the CBSD information page updates with the new set\nof parameters used in the most recent registration.\n\nRegister a CBSD by using vendor-specific registration parameters\n----------------------------------------------------------------\n\nYou can register a CBSD directly from your device, but if you use\na vendor (Baicells or Telrad) device, then you must add vendor-specific\nregistration parameters to the device. For details, see the following sections.\n\n### Baicells registration parameters\n\nUse these instructions if you have a vendor device such as Baicells. To\nsuccessfully configure your CBSD and upload the CPI certificate,\nmake sure that you fill in the necessary fields in Baicells. All\nCBSD configurations are performed in the Baicells device user interface (UI) or\nby using the Baicells Operations Management Console (OMC).\n| **Important:** This process can vary by vendor. For additional help, contact your vendor.\n\n#### Configure installation parameters directly in the CBSD UI\n\nThe CPI certificate is uploaded directly to the CBSD, which signs\nand encodes all installation parameters. The encoded CPI data is sent to the OMC\nand Domain Proxy (DP) service, which is then passed to SAS during the\nregistration request. You don't need to add the CBSD in the\nSAS Portal. SAS settings are configured as\nfollows:\n\n- For the CBSD UI, set **SAS Registration Type** to **Single-Step**.\n- For the OMC and DP service, select **Single-Step**, and then upload the CPI certificate.\n\n#### Configure installation parameters by using the OMC and DP service\n\nYou can enter the installation parameters by using the OMC and DP service, and then the CPI signs\nthem. You don't need to add the CBSD in the SAS\nPortal. SAS settings are configured as follows:\n\n- For the CBSD UI, set **SAS Registration Type** to **Single-Step**.\n- For the OMC and DP service, select **Single-Step**, and then upload CPI certificate.\n\n### Telrad registration parameters\n\nTo configure installation parameters for the Telrad device, follow these steps:\n\n1. In **BreezeVIEW**, go to the CBSD list page.\n2. Click **Add CBSD**.\n3. Set the CBSD Device Type:\n - For **eNB**, enter the Device ID and Cell ID (0, 1).\n - For **UE**, enter the IMSI ID.\n4. Add UE CBSD.\n5. Add a new CBSD.\n6. Use the BreezeVIEW CLI to sign the CPI.\n7. Configure the CBSD. After the new CBSD is added, the details page appears.\n8. Set the CBSD parameters, and then click **Save**.\n\nWhat's next\n-----------\n\n- [Use deployments to organize CBSDs](/spectrum-access-system/docs/cbsd/organize)\n- [Manage CBSD configurations](/spectrum-access-system/docs/cbsd/manage-configurations)"]]
