Dialogflow: Python Client

WARNING: The package dialogflow has been renamed to google-cloud-dialogflow. dialogflow will no longer be updated.

After October 28, 2021, importing code from the latest release of dialogflow will result in a RuntimeError. If you need to continue to use dialogflow after this date, please pin to a specific version of dialogflow (e.g., dialogflow==1.1.1). If you have questions, please file an issue.

Python idiomatic client for Google Cloud Dialogflow

Google Cloud Dialogflow is an enterprise-grade NLU platform that makes it easy for developers to design and integrate conversational user interfaces into mobile apps, web applications, devices, and bots.

Before you begin

  1. Select or create a Cloud Platform project.

  2. Enable billing for your project.

  3. Enable the Google Cloud Dialogflow API.

  4. Set up authentication with a service account so you can access the API from your local workstation.

Installation

pip install dialogflow

NOTE: We highly recommend that you install this library in a virtualenv.

Python >= 3.5

Deprecated Python Versions

Python == 2.7. Python 2.7 support will be removed on January 1, 2020.

Versioning

This library follows Semantic Versioning.

This library is considered to be stable. This means and that the code surface will not change in backwards-incompatible ways unless either absolutely necessary (e.g. because of critical security issues) or with an extensive deprecation period. Issues and requests against GA libraries are addressed with the highest priority.
