Frequently asked questions
How do I transfer files to my instance?
See Transferring Files to Instances in the Compute Engine documentation.
Why can't I create a GPU instance?
If you're trying to launch a Deep Learning VM instance with an attached GPU, and see an error message similar to:
You've reach your limit of x GPUs...
You may need to request an increase to your GPU quota. Check the quotas page to ensure that you have enough GPUs available in your project. If GPUs are not listed on the quotas page or you require additional GPU quota, request a quota increase.
Specific GPU models are only available in specific zones; see the GPU models table for details.
If the error is similar to:
The zone x does not have enough resources available to fulfill the request.
Then there are no available GPUs in the selected zone. You must select one of the zones that support GPU accelerators.
