If you're having trouble configuring your Compute Engine application to use Stackdriver Debugger, follow the steps below.
To use Stackdriver Debugger, your Compute Engine VM instance must have one of the following two access scopes:
If your instance does not have one of these access scopes, see Changing the service account and access scopes for an instance.
You can see which access scopes your instance has by doing the following:
Go to the Compute Engine VM instances page by clicking this button:
sshsession to your instance by clicking the SSH button in your instance's row.
Get the list of OAuth scopes enabled on your instance by running the following command:
curl -H "Metadata-Flavor: Google" http://metadata.google.internal/computeMetadata/v1/instance/service-accounts/default/scopes
Stackdriver Debugger logs
By default, the Stackdriver Debugger agent creates log files in the
directory of your Compute Engine VM instance. The log directory can be changed
by using the
--log_dir parameter to the Stackdriver Debugger agent.
