Overview: Cloud Dataflow SQL reference

Selecting Dataflow as the execution engine for SQL statements using the BigQuery web UI is available only as an alpha release and you should not use it in production. Dataflow SQL engine maintenance occurs weekly on Monday from 2:00 AM to 2:30 AM PT. Any streaming jobs launched using SQL that are running during this time might be terminated.

Dataflow SQL supports a variant of the ZetaSQL query syntax and includes additional streaming extensions for running Dataflow streaming jobs. Dataflow SQL is in a pre-release state and support for additional constructs is under development.
