GKE su Azure gestisce le istanze di macchine virtuali Azure e il
sistema operativo in esecuzione su queste istanze. Nelle versioni di Kubernetes 1.26 e
successive, GKE su Azure utilizza immagini di base Ubuntu 22.04 LTS per i nodi
Linux. Nelle versioni di Kubernetes 1.25 e precedenti, GKE su Azure utilizza
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
La VM Azure di base è gestita da Canonical. Google testa queste immagini nell'ambito
della procedura di rilascio di GKE su Azure. Quando un cluster o un pool di nodi viene
aggiornato, le istanze di macchine virtuali sottostanti vengono terminate e ricreate
con la versione più recente del sistema operativo.
Quando viene avviata un'istanza, GKE su Azure esegue
una configurazione aggiuntiva, tra cui:
Ottimizzazione delle impostazioni di rete per Kubernetes
Installazione di pacchetti dall'archivio Ubuntu (solo Ubuntu)
Disattivazione di upgrade e riavvii automatici dei pacchetti apt (solo Ubuntu)
Installare Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Enterprise e i binari di Kubernetes

In Kubernetes versions 1.26 and\nhigher, GKE on Azure uses Ubuntu 22.04 LTS base images for Linux\nnodes.
