Backup for GKE is supported in GKE Autopilot clusters with the following restrictions:

Autopilot is only supported in the GA configuration of the Backup for GKE agent - clusters running minor version 1.24 or later.
When you create Autopilot clusters using Terraform, you can install the Backup for GKE agent during cluster creation. To install the Backup for GKE agent using the gcloud CLI, you must create the cluster and then update it to install the agent. For instructions, see install Backup for GKE.
