After this period of time, the service is scheduled for shutdown.\n\nOn September 7, 2023 Squarespace acquired all domain registrations and related\ncustomer accounts from Google Domains.\nAfter January 22, 2024, you can't use the retired features of\nCloud Domains. Similarly, domain\nforwarding and email forwarding work according to the last supported\nconfiguration, but you can't change your domain forwarding or email forwarding\nsettings. Dynamic DNS updates no longer work, and dynamic DNS records\npoint to the last known IP address before the retirement.\n\n[Transfer-In](/domains/docs/transfer-domain-from-another-registrar)\nof your domain registrations from third-party domain registrars into\nCloud Domains isn't possible. You can\n[transfer-out](/domains/docs/transfer-domain-to-another-registrar)\nyour domain registrations to third-party domain registrars.\n\nIn addition,\n[import](/domains/docs/import-domains)\nof domain registrations from Google Domains to\nCloud Domains or\n[export](/domains/docs/export-domains)\nof domain registrations from Cloud Domains to\nGoogle Domains isn't\npossible. You also can't move domain registrations with\nCloud Domains between your Google Cloud projects.\n\nYou can't\n[delete a domain registration resource](/domains/docs/delete-domain)\nin Cloud Domains until it has expired. However, you can disable\nauto-renewal of domain registrations in Cloud Domains by using\n[Cloud Domains registration resource management settings](/domains/docs/reference/rest/v1/projects.locations.registrations#renewalmethod).\n\nDomains that use the `PRIVATE_CONTACT_DATA` setting for\n[contact privacy](/domains/docs/reference/rest/v1/projects.locations.registrations#ContactPrivacy)\nare changed to use `REDACTED_CONTACT_DATA`. Your data is not shared with a\nthird-party contact privacy provider, and it is instead shown as\nredacted in public contact databases like WHOIS.\n\nAlso, you can't use the Google Domains user interface to\nview and manage your domain registrations after your domain is migrated to\nSquarespace. You can continue to use the Google Cloud CLI,\nCloud Domains, and the Google Cloud console to manage your domains."]]
