Le migrazioni omogenee vengono eseguite quando esegui la migrazione dei dati da un database di origine
a un database di destinazione che utilizzano la stessa tecnologia di database (hanno lo stesso
motore del database).
Una migrazione omogenea di successo mantiene un'elevata fedeltà di tutti gli oggetti del database sottoposti a migrazione, inclusi schema, dati e metadati.
Database Migration Service offre diversi flussi e supporto delle funzionalità per ogni percorso di migrazione omogenea. Ad esempio, Database Migration Service esegue la migrazione di tutti i tuoi database per impostazione predefinita. In alcune migrazioni, ad esempio da PostgreSQL ad AlloyDB e da SQL Server a Cloud SQL Server, puoi eseguire la migrazione selettiva di un sottoinsieme di database dall'istanza di origine a un'istanza di destinazione esistente o nuova.
