Durata dell'assistenza
Circa due volte l'anno, il team di Container-Optimized OS rilascia una milestone LTS (Long Term Supported) nelle famiglie di immagini cos-[MILESTONE]-lts e cos-arm64-[MILESTONE]-lts. Una volta
che una milestone viene introdotta nelle famiglie LTS, è supportata per 2 anni.
Durante questo periodo di assistenza:
La milestone viene patchata attivamente per correggere eventuali bug critici.
La milestone viene sottoposta a scansione attiva per rilevare vulnerabilità di sicurezza e le correzioni di sicurezza vengono applicate regolarmente.
Le nuove release contenenti correzioni di bug e della sicurezza con priorità elevata vengono rilasciate
su richiesta.
Le nuove release contenenti correzioni di bug e sicurezza a priorità media e bassa vengono rilasciate ogni tre mesi.
Per mantenere la stabilità, non vengono introdotte nuove funzionalità rivoluzionarie.
Tutte le modifiche all'immagine sono documentate in una pagina dedicata alle
note di rilascio.
Ritiro
Al termine della finestra di supporto di una milestone, le famiglie cos-[MILESTONE]-lts
e cos-arm64-[MILESTONE]-lts corrispondenti vengono ritirate. Nello specifico, impostiamo il
flag DEPRECATED sulle immagini in
questo traguardo e queste immagini non vengono più visualizzate nell'elenco attivo delle immagini nel
progetto cos-cloud.
Le immagini deprecate sono ancora accessibili e utilizzabili se vi si accede direttamente per nome
utilizzando l'API images get.
Tuttavia, eventuali problemi con queste immagini potrebbero non essere risolti o verranno risolti solo
nelle milestone più recenti. I problemi segnalati per le immagini ritirate potrebbero essere risolti solo
nelle milestone delle immagini più recenti. Per continuare ad avere accesso a correzioni di bug e patch di sicurezza, esegui l'upgrade a uno dei traguardi attivi più recenti.

Specifically, we set the\n[DEPRECATED flag](/compute/docs/reference/latest/images/deprecate) on images in\nthat milestone and those images stop appearing in the active list of images in\nthe `cos-cloud` project.\n| **Warning:** Any [Image Family API](/compute/docs/reference/rest/v1/images/getFromFamily) references to the deprecated image family will return errors and break any workflows depending on it. You should not use this API to create production instances.\n\nDeprecated images are still accessible and usable when accessed directly by name\nusing the [`images get` API](/compute/docs/reference/rest/v1/images/get).\nHowever, any issues with those images might not be fixed or will only be fixed\nin newer milestones. Issues reported against deprecated images may be fixed only\nin newer image milestones.
