This document describes how to export usage and forecast data of the Compute Engine resources in your project, folder, or organization using the Capacity Planner API. To export your Compute Engine resource usage and forecast data as a CSV file to your local workstation, see Export usage and forecast with the Google Cloud console instead.

This document describes how to export usage and forecast data of the Compute Engine resources in your project, folder, or organization using the Capacity Planner API.

You can export usage data to a Cloud Storage bucket or a BigQuery table for the following Compute Engine resources:

• Virtual machine (VM) instances

• Persistent Disk volumes

• GPUs

• Reservations

Exporting usage data helps you analyze usage trends and plan for future capacity needs. For more information, see Capacity Planner API: Private Preview user guide.
