Today, we invite you to take the Google Data Engineer Certification exam (currently in beta). The Google Data Engineer Certification is designed to help you take your career to the next level. A Google certification gives you benchmarks for your professional development, to gauge your skill set against your peers and to demonstrate your value to hiring managers.
We had the future of data-driven decision making in mind when designing this certification. People are looking to transform their businesses and modernize the way they use their data, and to do that, they need to build scalable, agile data infrastructure that can accommodate changing business requirements as well as emerging techniques and technologies. For Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers, that infrastructure could encompass Google Cloud Storage, Google Cloud Datastore, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Dataflow, Google BigQuery, and Google Cloud Machine Learning.
A Google Certified Professional - Data Engineer can design data processing systems that meet these requirements, but she must also have fault tolerance, data fidelity and efficiency at the forefront of her design. She must also be able to roll up her sleeves to maintain that infrastructure, helping to ensure that it's reliable, secure and compliant. And let’s not forget the power of machine learning and pattern discovery: the data engineer has a principal role in creating the foundation that makes them possible. These job tasks and more can be found in the Google Data Engineer Certification Exam Guide.
Be part of building our certification
We need data engineers like you to help us launch our final exam. When the beta period closes, we take all the data and psychometrically analyze each question to identify which questions performed well, and which didn't. A lot of questions don't make the final cut and have to be revised, which makes the beta a critical step to develop a valid assessment that delivers the most value to you. We'd like to invite you to register for the beta exam by February 15, 2017, and qualify for these additional benefits:
- Save 40% off the cost of certification.
- If you pass, prove early adoption by claiming a low certificate number.
- Get exclusive access to the Certification Lounge at Google Cloud Next ’17, if you pass.
