Google provides a collection of application templates that are built with best practices in mind. You can explore Google templates, and use them as a starting point for your own application development.
Before you begin
You must have one of the following roles:
- Application Design Center Admin (
roles/designcenter.admin
): Full capability to create, customize, and deploy. - Application Design Center User (
roles/designcenter.user
): Create and customize a template. - Application Design Center Viewer (
roles/designcenter.viewer
): Preview a template. - The following roles can interact with application instances based on Google
templates:
- Application Admin (
roles/designcenter.applicationAdmin
): Create an application instance and deploy. - Application Editor (
roles/designcenter.applicationEditor
): Create an application instance and deploy. - Application Viewer (
roles/designcenter.applicationViewer
): View an application instance.
- Application Admin (
Preview and customize Google templates
From the left menu, click Google templates.
Click Preview to view the design canvas for a Google template.
To use this template as a starting point for your own template, do the following:
Click Copy and Customize.

Alternatively, to create an application instance using the Google template, do the following:
Click Configure app.
Click Create new application.
