Newly-created clusters write vm_assignments and disk_assignments platform logs to Cloud Logging, indicating when VM instances and persistent disks are allocated to a workstation.

You can now use customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) to protect Persistent Disks in Cloud Workstations. CMEK in Cloud Workstations is available in Beta. For more information, see Encrypt workstation resources using customer-managed encryption keys.

The Cloud Workstations API makes the following machine types available:

• n2-standard-8
• n2-standard-16
• n2-standard-32

You can now apply custom labels to Cloud Workstations resources. For more information, see Label resources and Customize workstation configurations. The JetBrains PhpStorm preconfigured base image now uses PhpStorm 2022.2.3

The JetBrains PyCharm Professional preconfigured base image now uses PyCharm Professional 2022.2.3

The JetBrains Rider preconfigured base image continues to use Rider 2022.2.3. It appears in this list of JetBrains IDEs for completeness.

The JetBrains RubyMine preconfigured base image now uses RubyMine 2022.2.3

The JetBrains WebStorm preconfigured base image now uses WebStorm 2022.2.3
