For instructions on how to set up notifications,\nsee [Set up notifications](/secure-source-manager/docs/set-up-notifications).\n\nSecure Source Manager notifications are disabled by default. When enabled,\nnotifications are sent to your Secure Source Manager login email.\n\nLimitations\n-----------\n\nThe following limitations apply to email notifications in\nSecure Source Manager:\n\n- Email notifications aren't available for Workforce Identity Federation users.\n- The email address that notifications are sent to is the same as your Secure Source Manager login email address, and can't be changed.\n\nEvents that trigger notifications\n---------------------------------\n\nThe following issue events and pull request events can trigger\nnotifications in Secure Source Manager when notifications are enabled:\n\nIssues:\n\n- An issue is created\n- An issue is assigned\n- An issue has a new comment\n- An issue is closed\n- An issue is reopened\n\nPull requests:\n\n- A pull request is created\n- A pull request is assigned\n- A pull request has a new comment\n- A pull request is approved\n- A pull request is merged\n- A pull request is rejected\n- A pull request is closed\n- A pull request is reopened\n\nNotifications for participants\n------------------------------\n\nYou can choose to be notified for events in issues and pull requests that you\nare a participant of.\n\nFor example, if you're the author or assignee of a pull request, you're a\nparticipant in that pull request, and events in that pull request send you\nnotifications if you have enabled notifications for pull requests.\n\nThe following list gives some examples of actions that make you a\nparticipant in an issue or pull request:\n\n- You're the author of the pull request or issue.\n- You're CC'd on the pull request or issue.\n- You comment on the pull request or issue.\n- You're mentioned in the pull request or issue.\n\nNotifications for non-participants\n----------------------------------\n\nAfter enabling notifications, you can choose to receive notifications from\nevents in issues or pull requests that you're not participating in by\n*watching* a repository. When a repository is watched, notifications are sent\nfor all enabled events, even if you're not a participant in the issue or\npull request where the event occurred.\n\nFor example, if `user1@example.com` has enabled notifications for pull requests,\nand watched a repository, and `user2@example.com` creates a pull request in that\nrepository, a notification is sent to `user1@example.com`.\n\nRepositories are not watched by default, except by the repository creator. When\nyou create a new repository, that repository is watched by default and\nnotifications are sent to you for events if you have notifications enabled.\n\nWhat's next\n-----------\n\n- [Set up notifications](/secure-source-manager/docs/set-up-notifications) in Secure Source Manager."]]
