Creates or updates a logs-based metric.

PUT https://logging.googleapis.com/v2/{metricName=projects/*/metrics/*}

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
metricName	string Required. The resource name of the metric to update: "projects/[PROJECT_ID]/metrics/[METRIC_ID]" The updated metric must be provided in the request and it's name field must be the same as [METRIC_ID] If the metric does not exist in [PROJECT_ID], then a new metric is created. Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource metricName: logging.logMetrics.update

Request body

The request body contains an instance of LogMetric.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains an instance of LogMetric.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/logging.write
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/logging.admin
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
