How to identify Partner Interconnect attachment

Problem

How can you verify if a partner interconnect attachment is L3, L2, and find out the Project ID to troubleshoot further?

Environment

Solution

  1. From GUI/Pentheon, for a L3 partner interconnect, you will not see any Cloud Router associated in your VLAN attachments.
  2. From Metastore, Search the body of the resource for partner_asn. If the field does not exist, the attachment is not L3, but L2.
    • e.g: partner_asn : 37923

Find the actual project which has the Partner Interconnect link (For L3 Partner interconnect):

  1. Find the INTERCONNECT_ATTACHMENT resource in Metastore Inspector. 
  2. Open the correct interconnect from the list.
  3. On this page, go to related queries > click on Incoming Links - same scope.
  4. You will find the project ID in the Resource key.
