Creates a new function. If a function with the given name already exists in the specified project, the long running operation will return ALREADY_EXISTS error.

POST https://cloudfunctions.googleapis.com/v2/{parent}/functions

Path parameters

Parameters
parent	string Required. The project and location in which the function should be created, specified in the format projects/*/locations/* It takes the form projects/{project}/locations/{location}. Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource parent: cloudfunctions.functions.create

Query parameters

Parameters
functionId	string The ID to use for the function, which will become the final component of the function's resource name. This value should be 4-63 characters, and valid characters are /[a-z][0-9]-/.

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Function.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Operation.
