This page describes how to request an instance of
Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Sandbox, and how to share it with others in
your organization.
Get access to GDC Sandbox
To get access to your own Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Sandbox instance,
contact the GDC Sandbox team.
You will be asked to supply some information, including:
The email address for the Google Account of the primary administrator.
A Google Group for managing access. Users added to this group will be
able to sign into this instance, up to a maximum of 25 users.
Once you have completed the sales process, a new instance will be created for
you. You will receive a GDC Sandbox offer email containing the connection
information for your instance.
Keep this offer email, and share the information in it with any other
potential users. You can use the information in this email to
Connect
to your GDC Sandbox instance.
Adding users
To grant access to a teammate or other user, add them to the Google Group
that was specified during the sales process. Once they have been added to the
group, their access will be granted within a few minutes. they can connect to
your instance by following the instructions to
Connect
to the instance, using their own Google credentials to initiate the connection.
Removing users
To remove a user's access to your instance, remove them from the Google Group
that controls access.
Instance updates
As described in
What is a Sandbox?,
instances of GDC Sandbox are not persistent over the long term; they are
subject to being refreshed periodically. When an instance is regenerated, the
connection information such as the instance name will be different. An email
with the new connection information will be sent to the primary account
administrator. containing the updated connection information.
