현재 기존 프라이빗 클라우드의 Google Cloud VMware Engine 리소스 이름은 표준화된 명명 규칙을 따르지 않습니다. 하지만 향후 새로운 기능을 지원하기 위해 Google Cloud VMware Engine은 프라이빗 클라우드의 리소스 이름을Google Cloud와 함께 보다 일관된 표준화된 형식으로 변환합니다. 특히 이 리소스 이름 변환은 다음과 같이 프로젝트의 리소스 이름을 약간 변경합니다.
대문자를 소문자로 변경
공백을 하이픈으로 변경
이름 변환은 프라이빗 클라우드에 영향을 미치지 않지만 프라이빗 클라우드 리소스를 참조하는 커스텀 스크립트 또는 자동화가 있는 경우 새 이름으로 스크립트를 업데이트해야 합니다. 예를 들어 Customer Private Cloud 03이라는 리소스에는 customer-private-cloud-03이라는 변환된 새 이름이 필요합니다.
이름 변환 선택
Google Cloud CLI 또는 VMware Engine API에 액세스하기 전에 변환이 필요한 리소스가 있는 경우 VMware Engine 포털에서 이름 변환을 선택하라는 메시지가 표시됩니다. 이름 변환에는 세 가지 옵션이 있습니다.

However, in order to support new\nfeatures in the future, Google Cloud VMware Engine will convert the resource names for\nprivate clouds to a standardized format that is more consistent with\nGoogle Cloud. Specifically, this resource name translation will make minor\nchanges to the names of resources in your project, such as:\n\n- Changing capital letters to lowercase\n- Changing white space to hyphens\n\nWhile name translation has no impact to your private cloud, if you have custom\nscripts or automations that refer to private cloud resources, you will need to\nupdate the scripts with the new names.
