For a full list of events\nthat can send notifications, see\n[Notifications overview](/secure-source-manager/docs/notifications-overview).\n\nLimitations\n-----------\n\nThe following limitations apply to email notifications in\nSecure Source Manager:\n\n- Email notifications aren't available for Workforce Identity Federation users.\n- The email address that notifications are sent to is the same as your Secure Source Manager login email address, and can't be changed.\n\nBefore you begin\n----------------\n\n1. [Create a Secure Source Manager instance](/secure-source-manager/docs/create-instance).\n2. [Create a Secure Source Manager repository](/secure-source-manager/docs/create-repository).\n\n### Required roles\n\n\nTo get the permissions that\nyou need to enable notifications,\n\nask your administrator to grant you the\n\n\n[Secure Source Manager Instance Accessor](/iam/docs/roles-permissions/securesourcemanager#securesourcemanager.instanceAccessor) (`roles/securesourcemanager.instanceAccessor`)\nIAM role on the Secure Source Manager instance.\n\n\nFor more information about granting roles, see [Manage access to projects, folders, and organizations](/iam/docs/granting-changing-revoking-access).\n\n\nYou might also be able to get\nthe required permissions through [custom\nroles](/iam/docs/creating-custom-roles) or other [predefined\nroles](/iam/docs/roles-overview#predefined).\n\nEnable or disable notifications\n-------------------------------\n\nTo enable or disable email notifications in Secure Source Manager, do the\nfollowing:\n\n1. In the Secure Source Manager web interface, click the more_vert **more options** menu.\n2. Click **Notification settings**.\n3. Click the **Enabled** toggle to turn your notifications on or off.\n4. Select which events you want to send you notifications.\n\n Notifications for selected events are sent to you if you are a\n participant in the issue or pull request where the event occurred. To be\n notified for events where you aren't a participant, you need to watch the\n individual repository.\n5. Click **Update** to save your notifications settings.\n\nWatch or unwatch a repository\n-----------------------------\n\nTo get notifications for events in a repository, even if you aren't a\nparticipant in the issue or pull request where the event occurred, you can watch\nthe repository.\n\nTo watch or unwatch a repository, do the following:\n\n1. Navigate to the repository you want to watch.\n2.
