Google Cloud バックアップと DR サービスでは、バックアップ/リカバリ アプライアンスのアップデートが定期的にリリースされます。これには、バグの修正、セキュリティ パッチ、機能強化が含まれます。ほとんどの更新は自動的に行われるため、ユーザーによる操作は必要ありません。ただし、一部の更新では、バックアップ/リカバリ アプライアンスを手動で更新する必要があります。
Google Cloud バックアップと DR のサポート サービス ガイドに記載されているように、バックアップと DR サービスは、バックアップ/リカバリ アプライアンスの現在のバージョン（n）と、バグ修正とパッチが適用された現在のリリースの直前バージョン（n-1）のみをサポートしています。バージョン（n-1）より前のバックアップ/リカバリ アプライアンスはサポートされていません。
バックアップと DR サービスは、管理コンソールのプロダクト内通知を通じて、バックアップ/リカバリ アプライアンスの利用可能なアップデートを通知します。家電の更新ステータスは、[家電] ページの [更新ステータス] 列で確認することもできます。
