Creates a Engine.

HTTP request

POST https://discoveryengine.googleapis.com/v1/{parent=projects/*/locations/*/collections/*}/engines

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
parent	string Required. The parent resource name, such as projects/{project}/locations/{location}/collections/{collection}.

Query parameters

Parameters
engineId	string Required. The ID to use for the Engine, which will become the final component of the Engine's resource name. This field must conform to RFC-1034 standard with a length limit of 63 characters. Otherwise, an INVALID_ARGUMENT error is returned.

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Engine.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains a newly created instance of Operation.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/discoveryengine.readwrite
