Adicione e atualize dados

Este documento explica como definir, adicionar ou atualizar documentos individuais no Firestore. Para escrever dados em massa, consulte o artigo Transações e escritas em lote.

Vista geral

Pode escrever dados no Firestore de uma das seguintes formas:

  • Definir os dados de um documento numa coleção, especificando explicitamente um identificador de documento.
  • Adicione um novo documento a uma coleção. Neste caso, o Firestore gera automaticamente o identificador do documento.
  • Crie um documento vazio com um identificador gerado automaticamente e atribua-lhe dados mais tarde.

Antes de começar

Antes de poder inicializar o Firestore para definir, adicionar ou atualizar dados, tem de concluir os seguintes passos:

Se não tiver a certeza de que o documento existe, transmita a opção para unir os novos dados com qualquer documento existente para evitar substituir documentos inteiros. Para documentos que contêm mapas, se especificar um conjunto com um campo que contém um mapa vazio, o campo de mapa do documento de destino é substituído.

Tipos de dados

O Firestore permite-lhe escrever vários tipos de dados num documento, incluindo strings, valores booleanos, números, datas, valores nulos e objetos e matrizes aninhados. O Firestore armazena sempre números como doubles, independentemente do tipo de número que usa no seu código.

Os exemplos mostram a adição de dados a uma coleção de nível superior, como cities. O Firestore também suporta subcoleções em documentos, como cities/LA/landmarks. Os mesmos métodos set(), add() e update() aplicam-se quando trabalha com subcoleções.
