Hire by Google launches in the UK and Canada for companies on G Suite
Making the right hire is one of the best things you can do for your organization. Research shows that teams with divergent opinions can make better, less-biased decisions - key to selecting a great hire. However involving teams in hiring is not without challenges—86% of WorkConnect by SAP survey respondents say they wish it were easier to collaborate with their peers on recruiting.
In July 2017 we launched Hire for the US market. Hire is a recruiting app for G Suite that makes it easy to collaborate on identifying talent, building strong candidate relationships and efficiently managing the end-to-end interview process within your existing workflow.
Today we’re pleased to announce that Hire is now available in the UK and Canada, in addition to the US. Hire integrates seamlessly with G Suite apps like Gmail and Google Calendar enabling customers to run an efficient recruiting process alongside G Suite’s familiar, easy-to-use tools.
Recruit faster with Hire and G Suite
Hire and G Suite are designed to work well together so recruiting team members can focus on their top priorities instead of wasting time copy-pasting across tools. For example, you can:
- Recruit directly from your Gmail or Hire and your emails will sync automatically in both.
- Schedule interviews in Hire that will automatically sync to Calendar.
- Track candidate pipeline in Hire, and then analyze and visualize the data in Sheets.
How Hire makes it easy for businesses in Canada and the U.K.
Over the past several months we’ve worked with dozens of trusted customers in both the U.K. and Canada and have received lots of positive feedback.
24-7 Intouch is a global contact center outsourcer based in Canada. They partner with Fortune 500 retail brands whose programs scale considerably around promotions or the holiday season. To ensure they grow successfully and their customers experience remains exceptional, 24-7 Intouch relies heavily on hiring thousands of people to support their programs during this time. Jeremy Grigaitis, Senior Manager Global Tools & Sourcing, says: “I would recommend Hire to other Canadian businesses because of the familiarity and integration with existing G Suite tools. Hiring Managers who have never used Hire or an ATS before can go through a quick training session and feel like a pro immediately after. Integration with G Suite allows more people to participate in the hiring process that weren’t able to before with our previous ATS. We also love the candidate discovery feature which shows us previous candidates that may be suited for a new role.”
Utility Warehouse provides energy, telco and insurance products in the U.K. and is using Hire to scale their business operations and support a goal of hiring 30 new recruits a month. According to Steve Smith, Head of Talent: “We were previously using a different ATS before making the jump. We chose Hire because of its simplicity. Our old ATS was slow and the user experience felt drawn out when compared to the speed of doing the same tasks on Hire. This means people actually use Hire as a first choice tool rather than an afterthought, as was the case previously.”
Mirego is Canadian digital firm helping its clients innovate and reinvent themselves in order to prosper in the digital era. Albert Dang-Vu, Partner Co-president and CEO switched to Hire to keep the Mirego team's hiring process sharp, structured and efficient: “Hire improved our candidate workflow overall. Our internal process with the reviewees and evaluations is more efficient and there is less interviewers bias that we are seeing in the feedback. Hire also helps nurture candidates for some of our more strategic roles.”
