Gemini Enterprise is designed to benefit all teams across diverse business sectors and organizations. It empowers knowledge workers in departments like sales, marketing, finance, HR, and IT/engineering, as well as frontline staff such as warehouse managers and retail associates, to gain insights faster and automate routine tasks.

Gemini Enterprise has several editions designed to fit the unique needs of your organization.

Business edition is ideal for small businesses, startups or individual departments within an enterprise or corporate-sized company. Anyone with an email address can start using the Business edition with no IT setup needed.

Standard and Plus editions are specifically designed for large enterprises and big organizations to help them tackle their unique business challenges and meet stricter enterprise security and compliance requirements. And for frontline workers working in large enterprises, we also have the Frontline edition catering to their unique needs (Standard and Plus edition customers have the option to purchase the Frontline edition as an add-on).

Starter edition is available as an optional free-to-use experience after the initial 30-day free trial of the Business edition. Only in Gemini Enterprise – Starter Edition, your data will be used for service improvement and training. The Gemini app is an everyday AI assistant, designed to enhance creativity and boost productivity for individuals and teams in companies of all sizes. The Gemini app is included at no additional cost for Google Workspace commercial and public sector customers and comes with enterprise-grade security and compliance controls. It leverages data from Workspace apps, such as Gmail, Drive, and Chat, to provide personalized responses and can be centrally managed from the Workspace admin console.

Gemini Enterprise is a powerful agentic platform built to understand the full context of your business and automate complex, end-to-end workflows. Specifically developed for businesses and enterprises, it securely connects to a broad set of your organization's applications and data, allowing you to chat with Gemini grounded in your business context. Gemini Enterprise also allows teams to use a single interface to interact with Google-made, custom no-code or code, or 3rd-party agents to automate simple to complex workflows. It also provides a single pane of glass for organizations to centrally govern all the agents across the teams.

While both the Gemini app and Gemini Enterprise benefit from Google's cutting-edge AI models and enterprise-grade security and compliance controls, Gemini Enterprise might be especially beneficial for teams that need to synthesize data from a broad set of company data sources (beyond Google Workspace), leverage Google-made, custom, and 3rd-party agents, and meet HIPAA compliance and data residency requirements for NotebookLM.

Yes, you can purchase up to 5,000 licenses through a monthly or yearly subscription. Both monthly and yearly subscriptions can be set to renew automatically.

Google Agentspace is now part of Gemini Enterprise. The conversational AI and agent creation and orchestration technology behind Agentspace is now powering the core functionalities of the Gemini Enterprise platform. This, combined with Google DeepMind's cutting-edge AI models, Google-built agents, and ability to connect across your company's data to search, analyze and synthesize insights, brings the best of Google AI to every employee, for every workflow through a single, secure agentic platform. 

Current Agentspace customers can continue using the product with no changes to the generally available features and functionalities, billing and entitlement, or level of support. If you are an existing Agentspace customer who would like to upgrade to Gemini Enterprise, please contact your Google Cloud sales representative.

Agents and connectors

Gemini Enterprise offers several prebuilt agents made by Google, including:

  • Deep Research agent, which explores complex topics on the employee’s behalf, synthesizing information across internal and external sources into comprehensive, easy-to-read reports—all with a single prompt. 
  • NotebookLM Enterprise*, which brings new ways for employees to synthesize information, uncover insights, and engage with the data. It’s the same experience millions of NotebookLM users love, enhanced with additional security and privacy features needed for work use.
  • Gemini Code Assist Standard*, a specialized AI coding agent to help your developer teams build, run and manage your applications across the software development lifecycle.
  • Idea generation agent*, which helps with innovation and problem-solving for enterprise users. It combines advanced AI with a unique tournament-style competition framework to generate and rank ideas.
  • Data Insights Agent (Preview)* to let your employees easily access data-insights by “talking” to your data sources in natural language, freeing up data analysts to work on higher-value tasks, while ensuring that all employees can make well-informed business decisions.

Yes. Standard and Plus edition customers can bring their own agents via two paths:

  • If you or your company’s developers create agents with Agent Development Kit (ADK), you can publish them directly to Gemini Enterprise.
  • If you have agents running on external platforms, you can integrate them into Gemini Enterprise by using the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol.

Gemini Enterprise offers a range of connectors to integrate with your organization’s existing data sources. Popular connectors include:

  • Google Workspace: Drive, Calendar, Gmail, Groups with real-time syncing
  • Microsoft: OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint, Entra ID

Security and compliance

The Business, Standard and Plus editions of Gemini Enterprise are built on Google’s secure-by-design infrastructure, giving you the peace of mind to deploy AI agents across your organization confidently.

  • You own your data, not Google
  • Your data—including prompts, outputs, and training—aren’t used to train Google models or models for any other customer*
  • Google never sells customer data to third parties
  • Google doesn’t use customer data for advertising

*Only in the Gemini Enterprise – Starter edition, a free-to-use experience offered after the initial 30-day free trial of Gemini Enterprise – Business edition, will your data be used for product improvements and to train Google machine learning technologies. You can opt-out anytime in the settings.

The Standard and Plus editions of Gemini Enterprise meet strict cloud compliance requirements around retention, accessibility, and maintaining integrity of your records, such as:

  • Data residency to help ensure your data stays in the region of your choice 
  • Google Cloud audit logging to preserve immutable electronic logs on your company’s activity and help your security, auditing, and compliance entities monitor for possible vulnerabilities or external data misuse 
  • Customer Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK) through Cloud Key Management Service to encrypt your data with customer-controlled keys, giving your organization control over protection level, location, rotation schedule, usage and access permissions, and cryptographic boundaries
  • VPC Security Controls to block access from untrusted locations outside your organization’s network and mitigate data exfiltration risks
  • Industry-standard compliance such as FedRamp and HIPAA

The Standard and Plus editions of Gemini Enterprise support various identity providers to authenticate users and enforce data access controls from connected enterprise systems. It verifies both user access to the application and access to data from connectors to ensure that content within Gemini Enterprise is accessible only to authorized individuals. 

Gemini Enterprise enforces identity and access controls at various levels: 

  • Cloud Identity and Access Management to restrict access to provisioned admins and users
  • The ability to select the content indexed from connectors and use the minimum level of permissions required to index data
  • Support for Google and third-party identity systems and user groups to authenticate users to Gemini Enterprise
  • Enforcement of document-level access controls to help prevent potential leakage of information via search, assistant, or agents


All editions of Gemini Enterprise include Model Armor, our built-in guardrails for AI prompts and responses, to proactively screen malicious and unsafe interactions such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, and sensitive data detection.
