The public sector has entered a new era of innovation, driven by the rise of intelligent agents. In this transformative period, AI-powered agents are a force multiplier for every employee – amplifying human capacity and freeing up time previously spent on administrative tasks. This new era is all about empowering employees and teams to apply their invaluable experience and judgment, strategic decision-making, and creative problem-solving to the most critical aspects of their work. This will fundamentally reshape how government and public sector agencies, as well as academia and research organizations operate, innovate and advance their missions. Today, public sector leaders are asking: how do we harness this new technology effectively to solve real problems, drive value and advance our mission, right now?

Gemini for Government: Bringing the best of Google AI, now to every mission

Gemini for Government is the new front door for the best of Google’s AI-optimized, secure and accredited commercial cloud services, our industry-leading Gemini models, and agentic solutions. Gemini for Government is our secure, scalable, and complete platform - everything you need to transform your mission. This is not about incremental steps, but leapfrogging to mission outcomes.

At our recent Google Public Sector Summit, public sector leaders shared how they are already applying the latest Google AI and security technologies to advance their missions. With over 300 AI agents built in one day to show how agencies could accelerate impact and advance missions, it is clear that the public sector is committed to innovating, transforming, and serving our nation in exciting new ways.

Real-world impact and momentum

We are honored to support agencies as they leverage the incredible power of AI to advance their missions. The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) selected Gemini for Government to serve as the first enterprise AI deployed on the U.S. Department of War (DoW)'s GenAI.mil to 3 million civilian and military personnel. The FDA is taking a pioneering step in public health innovation with the deployment of agentic AI capabilities across the agency. The U.S Department of Transportation (DOT) selected Google Workspace as their agency-wide collaboration suite to help employees securely connect, create, and collaborate.

In their recent report, Gartner® identified Google as a Company to Beat in the AI Vendor Race: Google Is the Company to Beat for Enterprise Agentic AI Platforms, published on 8 December 2025. We believe this recognition is a testament to our advanced, integrated tech stack, our commitment to scalable enterprise-wide adoption, and our leadership in AI.
