A new era of partnership: Unveiling Google Public Sector's enhanced Partner Program

Google Public Sector is excited today to launch its enhanced Partner Program, designed to empower partners to achieve success in the public sector market. Unveiled at Public Sector Partner Connect 2024, this enhanced program – under the Partner Advantage Program umbrella – introduces several new initiatives focused on accelerating growth, fostering deeper collaboration, and maximizing profitability for our valued partners.

Partnership is at the core of Google Public Sector’s mission to empower governments and education organizations with transformative, mission-aligned solutions. Recognizing that Google Public Sector can only scale its work through a thriving partner community, this new program focuses on providing partners with the resources, incentives, and support needed to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Google Public Sector's enhanced Partner Program centers around six key pillars:

1. Improved Incentives

  • Deal Registration Discount Program: Designed to increase predictability by moving from a rebate to a discount model, and to increase profitability, by doubling the previous incentive rate.

2. Stronger Training and Badging

  • Google for Government Partner Expertise Badges: Recognizing the expertise of Service Partners, Google Public Sector is introducing six new Google for Government Partner Expertise Badges, aligned with horizontal use cases within the public sector. This program will offer Partner-level and Premier-level partners enhanced visibility, access to valuable resources, and recognition for their specialized expertise.

3. Improved Co-Marketing

  • AI-enabled Marketing: With Partner Marketing Studio enabled with Google’s Vertex AI and Gemini models, partners will be able to scale co-marketing efforts by more easily tailoring assets to the public sector and partnership joint value propositions. Continued investment in select joint marketing plans will increase reach and effectiveness and new program accelerators will drive more growth and reward partners.

4. Accelerated Go-to-Market

  • Accelerated Growth Together: To grow more pipeline along-side our partners, our enhanced Lead-Pass-to-Partner Program will route even more leads to partners, ready for advancement into full sales opportunities.

5. Clear Delivery Framework

  • Partner Development Framework: This new program will provide Google Public Sector Partners with proactive support from a dedicated team of Partner Account Managers at our Distribution Partners, ensuring seamless partner development across marketing, sales, and technical teams. Partners will benefit from tailored support based on their practice maturity and a one-stop shop for marketing, sales, and technical content and resources.
  • Partner Development Sprints: This invitation-only program offers partners a structured, 120-day path to accelerate their practice activation and specialization in the public sector. Participants will benefit from proactive execution support, focused enablement across sales, technical, and operational teams, and opportunities to go to market alongside Google Public Sector.

6. Commitment to Quality Outcomes

  • Authorization to Operate (ATO) Accelerator and Landing Zones: Google Public Sector recognizes that achieving an Authorization to Operate (ATO) is critical for success in the public sector. To accelerate partners’ ATO journeys, the program will connect partners with managed and hosted service providers, documented Landing Zones for self-managed ATO processes, and expanded incentives in the form of cloud and other potential credits.
  • Rapid Innovation (RIT) Partner Co-Build Pilot Program: The Rapid Innovation Team (RIT) offers partners a collaborative platform to develop cutting-edge solutions for public sector customers. Through the RIT Partner Co-Build Pilot Program, partners can access pre-built assets, co-create solutions, and receive co-build funding, in addition to expertise from Google's RIT. This program provides an opportunity to showcase innovation, build referenceable, repeatable wins, and gain inspiration to build your own internal rapid innovation practice.
