The IT landscape is rapidly evolving, and businesses are increasingly relying on cloud solutions to drive their digital transformations. According to Canalys, a technology market analyst firm, global IT spending is expected to reach over $5.44 trillion by 2025, with partner-delivered IT to account for 70% of the total addressable market.1 To help Google Cloud customers accelerate the path to cloud adoption and digital transformation, we are excited to announce that they can now purchase professional services from our partner ecosystem through Google Cloud Marketplace

With this launch, we’re meeting a key demand from customers and partners, providing access to a range of services from qualified independent software vendors (ISVs) and systems integrators (SIs) to support the end-to-end lifecycle of their purchased Google Cloud Marketplace solutions. Customers can now seamlessly find, buy, deploy, and manage the partner-provided solutions and services they need to succeed.

Easily discover the right service providers

Google Cloud Marketplace provides access to a network of third-party providers with specialized knowledge and expertise that span the entire software lifecycle. Customers can browse partner-provided professional services on Google Cloud Marketplace, discover the relevant partner products that the services support, and reduce the time and effort required to find qualified service providers. The following categories of professional services are available today for partners and customers located within an agency jurisdiction to transact via private offer. At the time of launch, this will be available for US customers and US sellers in support of solutions listed on Google Cloud Marketplace.

  • Assessment: Professional evaluation of a customer’s current IT landscape to recommend the best solutions for their business needs

  • Implementation: Expert assistance with configuring, setting up, and deploying software purchased through Google Cloud Marketplace

  • Premium support: Personalized guidance and support tailored to specific business requirements

  • Managed services: Comprehensive, end-to-end management of a customer’s cloud environment by a provider’s team of experts

  • Training: Customized workshops, programs, and educational resources to enable an enterprise’s employees to put the technology into action

Flexible pricing models and payment schedules

Customers can purchase professional services from partners on Google Cloud Marketplace with a flat fee or with a flat fee with usage-based pricing models. Customers can also take advantage of flexible payment schedules — monthly, quarterly, annual and custom— and also pay upfront for multiple years, allowing the ability to manage cloud spend according to business requirements.

Streamline procurement and maintain cost control

By procuring professional services through Google Cloud Marketplace, customers can take advantage of the efficiency benefits they have come to expect from cloud marketplaces. Google Cloud Marketplace helps digitally transform the technology procurement process by moving traditionally offline processes online and simplifying contracting between vendors and buyers. Customers can negotiate a statement of work and buy professional services via customized private offers either directly from the service provider or through a chosen reseller, as enabled by Marketplace Channel Private Offers.

Integrated cost reporting provided by Google Cloud helps technology procurement decision makers maintain visibility over spend on solutions from Google Cloud and our partner ecosystem. Cloud administrators can also leverage our Google Cloud Private Marketplace capability to curate a collection of vetted products that is specific to their organization, further enabling governance and cost control. In addition, customers can reduce billing sprawl by receiving consolidated invoicing for not only their Google Cloud purchases, but also third-party products and services procured through Google Cloud Marketplace. In a recent study we commissioned with IDC, we found that Google Cloud Marketplace helps enterprises achieve 45% faster software procurement cycles and allows teams to spend 47% less time on invoicing activities.2

“It is important for us to be able to acquire the right solutions and complementary services, all in one place and with expediency.
