Security overview

This page describes the security provided for your Memorystore for Redis Cluster instance.

A Memorystore for Redis Cluster instance is not publicly accessible. Access to an instance is limited only to clients which can access the Private Service Connect endpoint configured for the instance. For instructions on setting up connectivity, see Networking setup guidance.

Management of Memorystore for Redis Cluster instances is secured using Identity and Access Management (IAM) role-based access control. For more details, see Access Control with IAM.

Encryption

All network data to and from Memorystore for Redis Cluster is encrypted in transit at the network level according to Google Cloud's default protection for any VM to VM traffic.

Memorystore for Redis Cluster does not encrypt data in memory. Memorystore for Redis Cluster does not persist customer data on disk in any way.
