Media Translation API is deprecated and will no longer be available on Google Cloud after July 1, 2024. You can replicate the functionality of Media Translation API through a combination of other Google Cloud services such as Cloud Speech-to-Text and Cloud Translation API.

Quotas and limits

This document contains current API restrictions and usage quotas for Media Translation. This page is updated when there are changes to these restrictions and usage quotas.

The quota applies to each Media Translation developer project and each user, and are shared across all applications and API versions used by a given developer project.

Quota for Media Translation is based on the number of seconds of audio streamed to the API per minute. The maximum is 6000 seconds of audio per minute. You might start to reach that quota when submitting more than 100 requests.

Media Translation has a limit of 5 minutes of streaming audio per request. If the audio exceeds that length, Media Translation returns an OUT_OF_RANGE error.
