Cleaning Up

Once you have completed data rehydration and verified that the data in the Cloud Storage destination bucket is correct, we recommend deleting the Google Cloud Storage staging bucket as well as deleting the Compute Engine VM hosting the Rehydrator instance, since you no longer need those resources.

After you are done, send an email to to close out the data migration job. All of the data on Transfer Appliance is deleted using the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) 800-88 standard. If you haven't finished your data migration project, a new Transfer Appliance will be shipped to you so you can perform further data migration.
