Retrieves object metadata. When alt=media
is included as a query
parameter, retrieves object data.

The authenticated user must have sufficient permission to use this method.
To download an object encrypted by a customer-supplied encryption key, or to get object metadata with content hashes, use the headers listed on the Customer-supplied encryption key page in your request. Getting object metadata without such headers omits the content hashes in the response.
This method supports the use of the Range
header, which can be used to retrieve only part of the object data.
For examples of performing object downloads with different Cloud Storage tools and client libraries, see the Downloading Objects guide.
