A Cloud SQL free trial instance lets you test the majority of Cloud SQL features for up to 30 days without any financial commitment. After you create a free trial instance, you can start trying out Cloud SQL capabilities, including:
The following table provides detailed information about the Cloud SQL free trial instance:
| Eligibility |
Both existing and new Google Cloud customers are eligible. The free trial instance is open only to new Cloud SQL projects. If you're a new Google Cloud customer, you might also be eligible for the Google Cloud 90-day, $300 free trial that offers $300 in free Cloud Billing credits to pay for any Google Cloud resources. The free trial instance is in addition to the $300 free trial credits offered by the Google Cloud free trial. |

| Billing |
Before you create a free trial instance, understand the following:
We don't charge you for the free trial instance and instance resources, but you are charged for data transfer costs for connections outside the region, through the public internet, and for taking and storing your final backup. For more information, see Trial inclusions and conditions. |
| Duration |
You can explore Cloud SQL features with free trial instance until one of the following occurs:
You can upgrade to a paid instance at any time during your 30-day trial period. If you don't upgrade your free trial instance before the trial period ends, then your instance stops serving requests. Your instance along with your data is maintained at no cost for an additional 90-day grace period. After the 90-day grace period completes, your instance is scheduled for deletion. If you explicitly delete your free trial instance before the 30-day trial period or the 90-day grace period ends, then the instance, along with the data in it, is deleted. No backups are taken. |
| Service level agreement (SLA) |
SLAs don't apply to a free trial instance. These instances are designed for testing and experimenting with Cloud SQL, and are not recommended for running applications in a production environment. |
| Available regions |
Free trial instances are available for all regions supported by Cloud SQL Enterprise Plus edition. For more information, see Region availability. |
